All About Pre K!

  • Curriculum

    Our Pre K class utilizes a faith-based kindergarten curriculum to ensure they have all of the necessary skills to succeed in kindergarten. Their curriculum includes subjects such as Bible study, math, phonics, handwriting, literacy, motor skills, and more.

  • Logistics

    All students in Pre K must be 4 by September 1st of the current school year. Pre K’s weekly tuition rate is $170/week. Children must be potty trained prior to starting Pre K, with accidents being very rare. The Pre K teachers conduct three assessments throughout the year to assess academic and social skills to ensure kindergarten readiness.

  • Structure

    Our Pre K daily schedule is designed very carefully to include adequate time for all lessons, while also acknowledging the developmental needs of 4 and 5 year olds. Exploration and play are encouraged, and outdoor time is emphasized throughout the daily schedule. Pre K is a screen-free class and will rarely incorporate any screens into regular lessons.

Katelyn Holub

Ms. Katelyn (or “KK”) has been at Grace Ridge since 2024 and has been a Lead Teacher in the 1 Year Old Class, as well as Pre K. She is a senior at Tarleton State, studying Kinesiology and Psychology. Katelyn has a passion for helping children learn, grow, and build confidence through hands-on learning and meaningful experiences!

Pre K Lead Teacher (AM)

Ms. Toni has been at Grace Ridge since 2025. She’s a marketing major at Tarleton State, has two sisters, and a cat named Toot. Some of her favorites include TJ Maxx, the color purple, roses, Chick Fil A, and football. Her goal is to create a classroom where every child feels excited to learn each day!

Pre K Lead Teacher (PM)

Toni Hughes

Ms. Adisyn joined Grace Ridge as a School Age teacher in 2026, and moved to Pre K in the summer. Prior to Grace Ridge, she had experience as a nanny and babysitter. She’s a proud aunt of three and has an Aussie named Oreo. Some of her favorites include BBQ chips, lilies, the color yellow, and summer.

Payton Srncik

Payton has been at Grace Ridge since early 2026 and serves as both the General Aide and Pre K Aide. She’s originally from Fort Worth, but moved to Stephenville for school. She’s a dog lover and has two dogs at home. Some of her favorites include chocolate, 7 Brew, the color pink, and summer. While initially somewhat shy, Payton excels at creating bonds with each child and supporting her teaching team!
